Today’s bento. Grilled salted salmon with mixed-veggie rice, stewed kobocha squash, glazed shiitakes and strawberry cobbler (on nom nom nom). I think the squash is…squashier than it was supposed to be, but I suppose I just have to eat it anyway. I have another half squash so I can try again if it’s really terrible. I have to do something to use my umeboshi too.

2nd day of bento. Pretty much the same ingredients, except mango instead of peach (my peach yesterday was hella lame) and no mushrooms. And Imari instead of some onigiri, but I still have a few onigiri with umeboshi.

First bento attempt. Peaches, orange carrots (that is, carrots cooked in orange juice, I know carrots are orange), shrimp/pork meatballs, mini onigiri with umeboshi, furikake or nori, edamame and marinated shitakes. I have little star and flower bottles with sauce for the meatballs too, but I can’t figure out how to fit them in the box.
